Odette is the younger sister of the Bride. She earned a degree in Liberal Studies at CSUEB in 2009. She recently got engaged to her high school sweetheart and is the mother to a beautiful baby girl Leilani Anabelle Lising. She is a Career Advisor at Heald College.
She is very protective of her family and always wants what's best for all her siblings. most importantly, she is caring and thoughtful I can run to her for anything. She understands the person I am and deals with every single bit of my attitude. She's been through all my heart breaks, tears, and every happy event in my life!
Marie is the Bride's cousin. They are exactly 23 days apart. She attended Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo, CA and graduated in the year 2000.
Marie is such a generous individual. she is a very caring individual and is always so quick to help out when in need. Marie is such a fun person to be around and can put a smile on anyone's face even when they're down. She's always been my backbone and has been here for me through the good and bad.
Angel is the cousin of the Bride. She is the mother to a cutie patootie smart sassy little girl Kayla Mae. Angel graduated high school from St. Joseph in Alameda CA and in 2011 earned a degree in Accounting at SF State.
Odette, Mae and I consider Angel as our other sister. When our parent's moved to Las Vegas to pursue a restaurant business, Angel was always with us. It's a blast being around Angel and while we occasionally bump heads because of our strikingly similar personalities, she is someone I can count on and one I can definitely talk to about anything.
Joana is the Bride's younger cousin. She was recently accepted into Nursing School. Yay Joana! She currently works for Kaiser Permanente in Tracy CA and is the mother of 2 handsome little boys.
Joana is a very funny/silly individual. and brings life to any party. she is
very persistent and determined. Joana is a sweet girl and is easy to get along with. We might be years and years a part but till this day I still see joana as this once tiny, super shy little girl i use to play school. with.
Kathryn is the oldest sibling of the Segarra Clan. She has 4 wonderful children who are the sweetest kids ever!
When she's not caring for her family, she is doing what she loves best--dancing or
U-Jamming! With her running around taking her kids where they need to be, from coordinating activities at her children's school
to teaching confirmation classes, not to mention her love for U-Jam, she is the true definition of a Super-Mom!
Kat is a very loving and kind individual. She is extremely friendly and easy going which probably expalins the many friendships/relationships she has with people. Kat is dependable and always extends a helping hand to people when needed regardless of her already busy schedule.
Ana and I have been good friends since Junior High. She is definitely someone I can count on--someone I can depend on. She's that "one" friend people know they can always got to for anything.
Ana is hands down a very loyal friend and has always been and I'm glad to have known her for so long because without her, I think my life would be so much different. Just like my sister, I can say without reservation that she's been through every single moment in my life good and bad, She knows me and knows the person that I am and through all these years continues to accept me for "me".
I met Jennie through Ana in junior high, She was always so full of life and still is even with a job that practically has her working all day and all night and on top of that raising her cutie patootie daughter Kaley. Let me just say that a day with her is a day filled with laughter. Jennie is the first out of all
us girls in our circle of friends to get married. She graduated from CSUEB with a Master's Degree and currently works for APPLE.
Jennie is such a great friend. One of many things I can tell you about Jennie is that she is a very loyal friend. In addition, she has such a big heart and will go above and beyond to help a friend. She is the most generous person I know and is such a thoughtful individual. I'm so grateful to have Jennie in my life.
Guada and I met when I began my Sophomore year at Mt. Eden High. She currently lives in Jamaica with her handsome 3 year old son Renzo and her honey Ric.
Guada can be described as adventurous and maybe even fearless which is why this girl is so much fun to be with. She is a great friend. She is someone I can talk to and she listens with open ears. She is kind hearted and easy going. She is also very ambitious and will do all she can to keep herself busy-- a girl after my own heart! That must be why I love her so much!
When I first met Krystle, I was literally afraid of her. She had this sarcasm in high school that I think no one really understood, but as I began hanging out with her more and more each day, I began to realize how sweet she really was.
Krystle is a great friend. She is someone I know I can count on and tell all my problems to. She gives great advice and definitely knows how to turn a sad situation into a happy one, Krystle is super duper fun to be with. Her outgoing personality makes any day a "FUN" day!
I've known Christine since junior high school and met her through Ana. I personally never thought our friendship would last as long as it did being that she attended a different school from the rest of us girls, nonetheless, I'm glad it did as she has proven to be a very important person in my life.
I love this girl to pieces because she tells it like it is and frankly isn't afraid to say it.
she is as sweet as can be. I love talking to her because of her honest opinions and because of this, I can take any advice she gives to the heart and know that the advice given is only for my own good.
Just like every other female, I am an ULTIMATE Pinterest addict! I was trying to plan out creative ideas on how to propose to my bridesmaids. Some might think it's corny but I really wanted this to be fun and special for the girls and also show them how important they are to me. I couldn't find ideas on Pinterest that WOW'd me so I went another route. I took my love for baking and tried to think of a way to incorporate a certain treat into packaging it with a short but sweet note.
I decided to make a unique treat--one that no
one here can easily purchase down the street.
I decided on Momofuku's Specialty, the Crack
Pies. Yes I know we can order these on-line but
it's still not an item we would just think of
purchasing on-line and so I made some on my
own. The recipe I used was off the Momofuku
website.
If you don't know, Momofuku Milk Bar is a very popular bakery based in New York. They are known for out of the ordinary treats that you can't find at any other bakery.
